Hurricanes Helene and Milton

When Hurricanes Helene and Milton hit the coasts of North Carolina and Florida, they left communities facing enormous challenges. In the aftermath, one critical need has often been overlooked: access to period products for the women and girls who are working to rebuild their lives.

Periods don’t stop during a crisis, and for many displaced women, managing their health with dignity becomes difficult when essential supplies are scarce.

At the Fihri Foundation, we’re committed to ensuring that women and girls have what they need to stay strong and resilient, even in the face of disaster. That’s why we’re partnering with Northeastern University's Global Health Initiative and Menstrual Equity Club to host a Period Palooza on November 19, where we’ll rally to pack and distribute period kits to those affected. In partnership with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, we’ve already sent over 1,250 pads to hurricane survivors—but we know we can do even more.

Together, we can create change. Join us in this effort to restore dignity and health to women and girls as they move forward with strength. Every donation helps. Let’s make an impact!
