URGENT: Thousands displaced in North Carolina and Florida after Hurricane Helene
Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina and Florida’s Big Bend region and has become the deadliest mainland hurricane since 2005. Over 230 lives have been lost and many communities remain isolated, with hundreds of thousands of people without power or access to supplies. Among them are thousands women who have lost the ability to manage their periods with dignity. Fihri Foundation partnered with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts to pack 78 period kits and donated 1,250 pads to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Fihri also partnered with Northeastern University Menstrual Equity Club, WISE and the Global Health Initiative to donate kits to the Kindness Closet in North Carolina and Red Crescent Clinic in Tampa, Florida. Please donate so we can help more period products.
